Remote Access to the Library Network's Electronic Resources
	Although the JOLIS Library catalog is publicly available, licensing agreements limit the use of other Library Network databases and electronic journals to staff of the World Bank Group and IMF. For remote access to NewsPlus/Factiva use http://factiva.worldbank.org.

Bank Group staff who are off-site should access The Library Network's web site and its electronic information services using the following procedure:

Use the Bank's VPN service to connect to the World Bank and log in to the Bank network.
Start Internet Explorer and either:
go to the World Bank MetaFrame server: http://metaframe.worldbank.org/
or
log in to eDesktop: https://edesktop.worldbank.org/
Double-click on the selection "Library Network Web Site"

Now you should see the Library Network web site and be able to access our licensed electronic information services.

If you experience problems with the MetaFrame server or eDesktop, please contact the Bank's Central Helpdesk at (202) 473-2121. Additional information about the Metaframe server is also available near the bottom of the Bank's MetaFrame web site.
