Remote Access to the Library Network's Electronic Resources
Although the JOLIS and Global JOLIS Library catalogs are available publicly, licensing agreements limit the use of other Library Network databases and electronic journals to staff of the World Bank Group and IMF.

Connect to the Fund network...
If you are off-site and connected to the Fund network using a Virtual Private Network (VPN):

  1. If using an IMF laptop start Windows Terminal Server (WTS) by either
    • Clicking on the Windows Terminal Server icon on your desktop OR
    • Going to Start | Programs | Host Access Services | Windows Terminal Server

  2. If using your PC at home, start WTS by either
    • Clicking on the Citrix Metaframe icon on your desktop OR
    • Going to Start | Programs | ICA Client | Citrix Program Neighborhood | Windows Terminal Server

  3. Log into the IMF network

  4. Double-click on the Internet Explorer icon

  5. Select the Library Network from the IMF intranet home page OR enter the following URL: http://jolis.worldbankimflib.org/

Now you should see the Library Network web site and be able to access our licensed electronic information services.

If you are not using VPN, start the web-based citrix client: /1
  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. Go to https://remote.imf.org/

  3. Authenticate by entering your
     - IMF Network user name,
     - network password, and
     - SecurID Passcode.
    The Domain is IMFNT.

  4. Select the Library Network from the IMF intranet home page OR enter the following URL: http://jolis.worldbankimflib.org/

Now you should see the Library Network web site and be able to access our licensed electronic information services.

Note: If VPN is running on your computer, VPN must be stopped before you can use the web-based citrix client. To stop VPN, click on the VPN icon on the taskbar - it looks like a padlock - select disable policy from the Policy menu, and then select Stop/Kill VPN client from the File menu.

If https://remote.imf.org/ becomes your primary method of connecting to the Fund, you may want to uninstall the Checkpoint VPN Client software using the “Add/Remove Programs” (otherwise, you will have to stop VPN each time you reboot your computer).
